Going online more often

Postby moccafaux » Thu Nov 25, 2004 2:23 pm

My parents have been bitten by the bug and are buying a PC in the course of december. So finally I can be online as often as I want but without having to pay the internet cafe`s fees. And a well-filled refrigerator is always within reach. Since I spend lots of time there anyway to do he odd-jobs this is definitly an improvement.
Too bad they both drink tea and so the chance of getting a decent coffee at their house is quite small. But an old plastic Gaggia is waiting for restoration in the basement and good hand-grinders can be had very cheap at ebay, so a solution is near. And hopefully the list of german web-links - long overdue  - can be made in december.

Phil, how much mb are used when I open a page like tmc?
I ask because I now have to look for a suitable DSL-tarif and tend to go by volume. But I havent a clue how much mb I use up by going online just once. Can you give me a number?

I'm not exactly Phil, but I don't think you should worry about limits if all you're doing is read websites. Volume hoggers are: downloading software, music, movies, etc. etc.
This week I am eagerly anticipating the first god shots from my La Spaziale machine....

Thanks. Cant wait to have one to my disposal!
This is what I will do on my days off around christmas:
-ride the bike
-stuff myself with good food
-drink the maximum allowance (=3-4x17gr) of coffee every day
-make knives
-be online for many hours.

Did you see that movie with Benicio del Toro and Tommy Lee Jones (Manhunt)? All about knives, well, knife fights anyway. Not bad, if a bit gloomy.
