Postby mrcappuccino » Tue Jul 17, 2007 7:30 pm

TMC has a trojan/spyware on the site, every time I browse a section or refresh I get this pop up.

I use NOD32.

AVG response to admin email from the Forum?

Postby smallblueplanet » Tue Jul 17, 2007 8:10 pm

I'm a bit confused, I've just received an email purporting to be from Too Much Coffee admin. When I followed the link it set off my anti-virus (AVG). I sorted that and have just now visited the website and immediately I did the same 'threat' appeared again. Is something going on or has some software been added to the website? :?

Suggest a proper follow up mail saying don't click on the 1st, or something.

AVG says its 'healing' it, is it or should I run a virus check?

Strange email

Postby Lambo » Tue Jul 17, 2007 8:16 pm

I received an email this evening from "admin@toomuchcoffee.com" that said it was very important to me.

It contained link to a website

Does anybody know if this is a real e-mail or not?

My antivirus software has just picked up a trojan from a link via e-mail supposedly from TMC. Beware folks.

Someone gained admin access to TMC. I've removed the trojan reference and disabled the bulk emailer.

All admin users have changed their passwords.

I'm looking into how this happened. Please, everyone stop mailing me?
