BUT I LIKED THE OLD COLOR SCHEME!
I ONLY EVER READ THE FORUM ANYWAY, WHY THE CHANGE!

Sorry, just HAD to do it. Congratulations to Phil (and minions) the new site looks excellent (I actually prefer the new colours).
I feel kinda sad that you weren't happy with the way the old site was being used as it always felt like home to me. I'll try to be a better TMCer this time and read the front page :)

WELL DONE!!!!

Well done Phil, Dom and Mark for all the elbow grease, it all looks very professional. However, I don't like the avatar you've given Dom - a light-bulb just dosn't suit him :?

:D The change was mainly related to bringing online new features that would allow members to be more pro-active and to keep the content updated. There was also the small matter of managing the bandwidth useage effectively. It was costing Phil a lot more than it needed to, and hopefully now will.

Firt impressions are that the new look is "cleaner" - I like it. My only grumble is the colurs on the little panel that has the faq/lsearch/memberlist etc links don't make it easy to read - a shade or two darker on the blue text would help, maybe even going as far as black.

Many thanks for the efforts.

Paul.

great job, well done!!!!!! if only all migrations i have seen (done myself) went this smooth...

i agree with cattytown on the colorscheme though. i find that there a bit a lack of contrast between the grey bg and the blue fg. i believe that a somewhat higher contrast could improve readability.

cheers,

Total respect for all the hard work team, TMC 2 is looking superb (not quite convinced with the turd graphic posing as blurred beans though).

I love the new look, it has a modern, sophisticated and grown up look to it. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make it that way.

The only thing I can see that I don't like too much is the blurry beans, but I wasn't going to be the first one to mention it :)

There just has to be room somewhere for some of Gadders gorgeous pictures?

The banner is under discussion and some ideas are afoot. There is always room for excellent photos on TMC and as part of the new feature-set it is hoped there will eventually be a place for them to be enjoyed :D
