espresso machines in Barcelona/Spain : WHERE

Postby elfquest » Mon Oct 18, 2004 1:01 pm

Hi,

I am a Belgiam living since 3 years in Spain. I brought my quickmill with me so I was happy for a while, making my espresso but now it broke down (after... god how many years ...)
So then started the nightmare of finding a shop selling these in Barcelona: it does not have to be quickmill again but just one that is just as good....
Well after 2 days of looking (internet) and calling : I found one shop not even in Barcelona that only has one brand....

Anybody can : or give me a name of a shop in Barcelona, selling espresso machines
or give me some suggestions on other machines that are sold in Spain/Barelona

thanks
Hein

ps: I use servrings of Illy but I am also interested in a a machine that works with beans

Expobar are Spanish, you might have more luck finding one of their machines ? The Office Control/Pulser is the basic model, good price for a heat exchanger machine.

Hi Hein, sorry we couldn't help you - we don't have a lot of Spanish members, probably because the Spanish aren't great about learning other languages. If you do find a good address in or around Barcelona for espresso machines and/or roasted beans, please let us know. I happen to know there's a large community of expats in Barcelona, who could possibly benefit from your knowledge. Good espresso bars are also very much appreciated. Thank you and sorry we couldn't help you!
This week I am eagerly anticipating the first god shots from my La Spaziale machine....

La Spaziale S1, Vibiemme Domobar (retd), Mazzer Mini Electronic, Behmor 1600 230V

Innova (retail division of Ascaso) are based in Barcelona, they sell espresso machines, grinders and accessories, and their equipment got a pretty good review on CoffeeGeek.

Ignore my last post - not relevant to the thread - was in response to a spam post that Dom has now removed.
