I'm sure the phpBB2 people will be pleased to know that their neat little "whosonline.gif" is seen as a bunch of light bulbs.

Just don't expect me to illuminate your apartment if you wire me up to the mains!

No, not that! The light bulbs next to our names in the forum itself: just check my name, here, next to this post and see the "empty" light bulb. Then check yours and you'll see that it's illuminated!

I've said before that I should put this in the site FAQ. Actually, I think it's in the forum FAQ anyway. But here goes ....

Go to the top of the forum page (just to the right of the PNphpBB2 logo) and click on "Profile". Scroll down to near the bottom. You'll see a dialogue to enable you to upload a graphics file to use as an avatar. Limits 80 pixels per side max, size limit 6400 bytes (I think, from memory - the dialogue tells you anyway).

Love the whos online bit mate well done. The chat room yes you know now hows online. It would be nice to send an istant message and go chat in the room. Or once a week at a certain time have an hour of chat in the room? Just a thought, might be a bad idea but I dont have them often so I treat them all with respect ;)

OK, there are some PN chat modules out there. I'll have a look around and see what's worth trying.

I kind of like the idea, and some other PN sites implement it IIRC. As long as the software works well enough it should be no trouble to do this. Good one Eeffoc.

Most people's light-bulbs are white (off-line?). Mine is green (on-line?) and at one point I saw a red bulb. What does the red bulb mean?
