Equipment, technique, or just drinking the stuff

The machine was picked up on Wednesday night by my electrician chum and taken into the care of the more knowledgable! He said the guys there will have look at it at lunchtimes etc so I'm not to worry about anyone getting fired! I'm hoping it will become a challenge for the department to fix as a matter of professional pride!
No news as yet but I'll update as and when.
Fingers crossed...
so it goes...

I have no news to report at this time.
This may be good as in they found a fix and are sorting it out and calling me with a fait accompli or it's really bad and the guys are plucking up courage to call me and drop the bad news..!
'tis in the lap of the techs.
so it goes...

I am sure it isn't the case that they fixed it in the first five minutes and since then they "take a look at it each lunchtime" whilst enjoying the coffee.... Just a thought.

I hadn't considered that!
It would be obvious to see if that
were the case; a whole bunch of techies running around fixing stuff at supersonic speeds, grinding their teeth and muttering darkly about extraction times..!

I'm yet to receive an update so I'm none the wiser at the moment.
It is nearly time to give the EME dept a call and see wha' gwaan.
Right now I've dusted off my French press and have got my coffee fix in a slightly sub optimal way. I'm frankly astounded to report that the lavatzer red blend (bought by mine clueless wifey) has been almost drinkable in this way (with a spoon (or three) of sugar!).
All this aside I look forward to either getting sorted with the new 'spresso machine or offering a still slightly broken KA Artisan to anyone brave enough to give it a go on the forum!
Baited breath and all that!

It's oK Cakey, if the boys at the hospital can't cure it then my father in law is visiting in the new year. I shall ask him to bring his multimeters and gizmos over for a fixing session!
Still; the suspense is killing me!
