Grow your own

Postby quink » Thu Nov 25, 2004 5:00 pm

I found this site earlier in the day, if anyone is having trouble growing it from scratch, they sell little arabica plants just scroll to the bottom of the page. Maybe come payday I'll give it a go. Anyone else ever realised that this is probably one of the only places that you can openly talk about growing your own and having kilos of greens lying around and not have flashing blue lights coming up the road

Grow your own

Hi Quink. No need to spend £21 on a plant. You can buy a complete Coffee Tree growing kit from Has Bean, for the princely sum of £4 odd. With twelve beautiful Kona seeds to go with it, all you need is some light and warmth and you have it made. Just think of all that lovely Kona Coffee.
Bialetti Brikka 2 cup Mokka Pot.
Rival.PP25. Popcorn roaster.
Krups. GVX2 Coffee Grinder.

There's nothing wrong with being an obsessive. Most of the people around me at work know about my passion for coffee, to the point that when I'm seen carrying a large courier bag that clearly weighs several kilos everyone assumes it's coffee. I even had a shipment arrive to my office address with the wrong name on the top, and the post room staff figured it was mine because it was coffee. Not bad for a company of over 700 people!
I wish I were what I was when I wished I were what I am.

I've tried one of those before, I could get little tails to grow off the bottom of the seeds but none of them ever sprouted fully :(
