Things are fine, I graduated and found a job. I took some time to assemble the Speedster, but now I am enjoying its coffee.
Linux is working great now. I stuck with Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric and Gnome 3.2 and in combination with Virtual box - for people who insist getting word-files - this is a great solution. I just love the Gnome 3 user interface.
Aadje great work, graduated and pretty much straight into a job - must take time to hunt down details on the Speedster - forget somewhat what it was all about.
Played a little with Ubuntu for recovery purposes only, never tried Gnome but taken a quick look and it looks quite tasty - might throw it on something when I get chance, mostly I use Windows 7, toying with Windows 8 on a netbook modded to a tablet dual boot with OSX 10.6.7, on my main laptop Windows 7 64bit quad boots with Win 7 32bit, OSX 10.6.3 and OSX 10.7
