Severe outbreak of upgradeitus in germany

Postby lukas » Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:41 am

When you look at the current buy and sell threads in the german kaffee-netz, there seems to be the most severe outbreak of upgradeitus I've yet seen. Is it contagious? Am I secure around these parts?

One guy selling his Speedster MkII for an upgrade, another buying it selling his LM Linea in return, two GS/3's on sale, a few Cimbali Juniors, Rancilio S24 or Bezerra BZ99 for startes ... now where does this lead us?

Personally I'm just glad that I *don't* have 2k5€ to spent on a used GS/3 or Linea ;)

My thoughts as well. He didn't specify it yet, but it had something to do with pressure profiling IIRC.

That pressure profiling sounds legit, that's quite the issue these days in some circles . . .

@Lukas, that's exactly how it works :D

I think you are right Lukas, It does seem to be contagious. I see EricC is now selling his GS3.

I have never believed in procrastination but with so many eminent advocates perhaps I should try it. ….. Maybe tomorrow. :D

...but decided that I needed a bit more thinking time.

But back to the original thread...

It's encouraged me to buy an extra lottery ticket for tonight so that I can buy a Speedster to upgrade from!

I was gonna invent procrastination but I waited until the 70's to be born :roll: Ok, OK! The truth is I delayed my own mother's birth...and then before I knew it, it all snowballed from then. Keep watching out for the snowball...it's still coming...sometime...sooner or later...probably later... :P
