Pictures wanted

Postby phil » Thu Nov 11, 2004 12:35 am

Help wanted please.

To illustrate a couple of articles I have had in the in-tray for a little while now (and about which the author is getting quite twitchy) I need some pictures of the following:
  • Cona vac pot(s)
  • Gaggia Classic machine
  • Pavoni lever (on its own)
Push comes to shove I can do the Conas myself, but I'm very bogged down in lots of stuff at the moment and I'd appreciate the help.

Format required: jpeg for preference (RGB, not CMYK).

Other than that don't worry - just send them to me straight from the camera and I'll process them as I see fit. I have the necessary technology.

In fact, I would appreciate any photos of coffee gear that any one cares to send in. I may not use them straight away, but it would be really useful to have them on file ready for whatever needs come up.

I can lift some pictures from the forum attachments folder, but if folks don't give their piccies useful names I'm at a loss to know what I have in that resource.

All help greatefully accepted.

Done by email. I picked them from the internet. Did it match your requirements?

Best regards,

Steven

Sorry Steven - "picked from the internet" is not a good option as the pictures will belong to someone else and if I use them then that's a kind of stealing.

We had a very, very unpleasant issue arise earlier this year when we unknowingly re-used a picture originally taken by Mark Prince. Mark complained vociferously, as was of course his right. However he did so in an open public forum and not to us directly. I found the whole experience so thoroughly unpleasant that I will never knowingly go there again. When I want to use someone else's photos I ask permission first and also attribute the source in any content I am preparing.

So everyone who's already responded - thank you very much. Please be clear however that I'm only after photos that members have taken and are willing to allow TMC to use. By sending them to me I assume that you are granting us the right to use them. This includes pictures uploaded into the forums.

Sorry to be so stiff and formal about this, but once bitten, twice shy.

Phil

Stephane - thanks my friend. Just a general picture of a Pavoni lever (preferably a Pro but a Europiccola will do), perhaps from the front but at an angle so that you can see the side - if I'm making sense.

Cheers

A white background shot would be best please Chris if that's not too much trouble. Thanks a lot.

Do you have any stove-top Conas you could do at the same time please?

I'll try to take some nice pics of the Mazzer E this afternoon, can't promise though!
This week I am eagerly anticipating the first god shots from my La Spaziale machine....

Raf - there are some pics of the E in the forum files - I think you uploaded them a while back. I can use those if you like?

Ah, yes, please. I have my hands full with a new housemate - although it's an unwanted one: some rodent apparently :(

Cheers
