The MacPherson strut suspension of a 1303 makes them much more driveable when lowered. I fitted a set of 75mm lowering springs to the front of mine and it still had a nice smooth ride, none of the crashiness of a regular beam equipped lowered bug, and ample ground clearance for speed bumps. It rolled less in the corners too.

Most front suspension parts are interchangable with 911 items...

And the Porsche brake calipers are often favored among the more 'extreme' euro'ers. I always thought it would be cool but that it would rip the whole front out of the mounting points and my car would then plough over them. :D

Well, My brother in law is selling his van. It's a 77 tin top minibus, 2l type 4 fuel injection, imported from Sweden with a really high spec. It's done 19,000 km from new and is like driving a complete NOS van. It's never had any welding done and is 100% solid.

So there's no way I can pass it up. I've got to know the van well; I spotted it for sale at Vanfest when he was looking for a van. He wanted a camper but I advised him to prioritise on buying solid metal and worry about the conversion later. This was just tucked away behind a trade stand with a barely noticeable for sale sign.

We then spent the whole of the following spring building a camper conversion for it. My own Devon interior was falling to bits so I decided to take it apart and replicate it in plywood so it made sense to make two at once and build one for his. My mate welded in a rock n roll bed and the replica interior looks a treat.

So I've got to get mine sold, but it's totally the wrong time of year to sell a van.
