coffee flavoured beer

apparently weatherspoons is doing a beer festival atm and this weeks featured beer is Titanic velvet Curtain and it tastes like coffee and looks like a pint of cappuccino.
Anyone tried it?

Nope but tried the Meantime coffee porter, brewed with Union coffee in.

weird, very heavy, an odd mix of chocolate, stout and coffee.

nice as one pint, couldn't manage anymore than that.

Stir some sugar (gomme) into a pint of Guinness and it tastes a lot like coffee.

I think I tried the first test batch of this as my friend works for Titanic I often get little gifts from the Brewery. As a stout its very nice but coffee nah!!!!

I've spoken to Titanic a few times about a coffee beer but they only use flavourings, there hazelnut one nearly made me spew (bottles sold in Morrison's give it a wide birth)

Captain Smiths for me from them or Iceburg for a warm day.
