Red dwarf special

Postby Gary » Sun Apr 12, 2009 9:46 pm

Just watched part three of the Red Dwarf special, Back to Earth, wondered if anyone else had seen it and what they thought?

Thought Part 3 was the best of the 3 and that they dragged it out endlessly with part 2. Nice to see the boys from the dwarf back one last time.

I stupidly missed the first episode of the trilogy having nodded off and am looking out for the reruns already.

I agree episode 3 was the best and it was needlessly dragged out, still nice to see the boys from the dwarf back!

Try the books? Reading is fun too :)
I liked red dwarf, but not half as much as the Hitch Hiker's increasingly inaccurately named trilogy of five books or however many there are.

"Now the world has gone to bed", Marvin droned,
"Darkness won't engulf my head
I can see by infra-red
How I hate the night"

"Now I lay me down to sleep
Try to count electric sheep
Sweet dream wishes you can keep
How I hate the night"

Dolorous ditties of no tune, or indeed tone there, citation straight from heart, more or less... wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me for three quotes from the Guide books and I can probably pull it off.
Yep, those books made an impact.

There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
