I'd love to go (drank my first ristretto in Milan, in a bar just opposite the central station), but again: no cash, no time.

Can't afford the time off (on top of everything else I've already got scheduled) - I'm self employed so every day off "costs" me a lot of money.

Well, I *almost* went and got the plane tickets...until I remembered that my tourist visa had expired and I'm still waiting for my Portuguese residency to finalize.

Sometimes I am SO absent-minded....

There's a small chance I'll be going with K. She's writing for the style section of a newspaper now, and she pitched the idea of espresso to them. So I'll only have to pay for a plane/train ticket. I'll keep you posted.
