...pssst! I did my first really nice rosatta today...

Nothing worldshaking, I know, sorry to bother you BUT I'M SO PROUD!
Mainly because in the last time I gave up trying to get a decent microfoam with my LSM - which would work better as a mist-blower in a David Copperfield show to help him dissapear - I hate the 5 hole steamwand tip :x

I guess what finally helped me, after thinking about a 170 € course in Italy with Mr. Lupi, was the fact that Fabian Schmidt (mentioned him in another thread - #3 Barista Champion Germany) learned everything by himself - 2 years ago.
We have a saying in Austria "Everybody is just cooking with water" - meaning "he is the same like everybody else"....So as everybody is just steaming milk - I gave it another try....

a very satisfied joey

Nice one Joey, I managed to draw a shape once, not a rosetta, but I've never managed it again  Mind you , I always make a traditional cappuccino when I foam so have 100% volume increase, not much risk of getting a fine texture with that much foam.
