Society for the prevention of cruelty to grinders
After my last attempt at drowning the Rocky by pouring the water in there rather than down the Gaggia Baby, my "zero" point where the burrs start to catch is -10 (I took it apart and it obviously didn't quite go back the same ).
SW (Thinks She) MBO is the espresso drinker in the household and has been away for a week, so I haven't had the Rocky on the espresso setting for a while. Obviously when she gets back from her holiday in Brittany she wants one of my nice coffees So, I sort it all out, measure the beans, set the grind and off I go. Hmm, what's that funny noise - must be the "handle" vibrating in the metal holder for it on the Rocky, I'll hold it a bit tighter. Nope, noise hasn't stopped Oh bu**er - I've got the setting on the Rocky wrong - the noise is the burrs catching!
Took it apart and the burrs seem to be OK...
Anybody fancy a job as a barista in Rotherham?
