Cupping on a podcast?

Postby RobC » Fri Sep 08, 2006 7:44 pm

I put this in off topic, because it kind of is. I might get burned at the stake for this, but has anyone listened to:-

If you listen long enough they start on about cupping, with impressive slurping to match.

Yeah - it went up a few days ago.

The cupping was quite interesting - to see how they put that part of their business across, certainly more so than the cheesey patronising hosts.

It sounds patronising I know, but I don't imagine the majority of listeners would be at the level to detect it. I suppose they have to aim at the lowest denomination in knowledge. Interesting they mention freezing / refrigeration which is one myth that will not die. Confirmation from our resident coffee Guru on this would be good.

off topic Jim, have you seen the latest Caterer Update, it landed on KenC's desk today and made him chuckle - as the most photographed UK Barista ever (not official, just my opinion) the web cam shot they used was a bit tardy, as was the title of the article (which is just below your pic).

I haven't seen anything in the Caterer, I wish they'd at least drop me an e-mail or something or is it not a comment sort of thing?
Will have a look in the newsagents...
