Every time I make a shot I clean out the filter, group head etc with a tea towel and as most tea towels we've got are white they always end up looking very dirty. So my quest of late has been to find a coffee coloured cloth for doing this sort of cleaning but I've been having no luck at all, has anyone else had or resolved this problem or should I just give up and accept that it will look dirty?

In our outdoor-shop we sell synthetic towels, made by cascade (=therm-a-rest). They are incredibly longlasting and hardwearing. In the holidays we even use them for stuff like cleaning bikes, canoes etc. And they are not white!

Waitrose (in the UK) has paper kitchen towels with coffee and espresso prints! (Yes I am sad)

I tried the paper towels but while mostly perfect there were a couple of jobs they weren't up to. Then I found some black tea towels so all's well now :D

It's just because Ms Pavoni is so messy, I found that the majority of splatter I was getting in the coffee area was when from knocking the coffee out, so now I put a cloth over the spouts when knocking. The spouts would just poke through the paper when I tried.

I think the Pavoni's open spouts cause worse splatter than most and would love to replace the un-necessary double spout with an enclosed single. Does anyone know of any other PF spouts that would fit a Pavoni?
