My mom drinks turkish coffee from 100% robusta beans

Postby Terje » Mon Jan 02, 2006 9:54 am

Is that hard core or what? She has these really good robusta beans from Uganda and in the morning she likes it with a lot of milk and recently she made turkish coffee with only those beans. She said it was really good. i thought it sounded like a tough cup to drink.
Different beans and a frying pan, Zassenhaus grinder and a couple of moka pots...

Eventually, when my Gaggia is working again, I'll try this lovely "South Italian Blend" again, which is 100% Robusta with a WOW taste. You don't actually notice the caffeine because of the taste. Just after the second or third double you get a little shaky.
That reminds me of this morning: I didn't drink coffee for two days because of my stomach, and got me a double (30 or so % robusta) for breakfast. I was shivering for at least two hours after that :)

This week I like my coffee luke-warm.
