And what does "ei guude, wie" mean? And what is your real name? I'm not merely clueless, I'm positively fascinated!

Well I hold the answers to everything but the translation. Anyone who'd read the emails I sent to the group and the ones I sent asking for translation would be in full possession of the facts, bar of course the translation. Now if it were Russian I'd have a better chance, but then it's around 33 years since I last spoke that language so may be not there either.

Note to self - where are our Russian members then ?

Our new friend lives in Darmstadt I believe.

Re the greeting, I assumed it was the local equivalent of "Eh up, our kid! Th'all reet?"

(He said, showing his regional origins to the Brits and confusing the whatsits out of everyone else!)

I am living in Eberstadt, which is a village south of Darmstadt (between Frankfurt and Heidelberg). The Frankenstein is my homeground since I was a kid. Its also the place from where Mary Wolstonecraft Shelley took the name for her book.
"Ei Guude, wie" means sort of "Hello" in the regional hessian dialect.
And my signature tells a lot about me either, since it shows my favourite obsessions (the printable ones, anyway).
"Moccafaux" is a word for fake coffee which my hugenottian (right spelling?) ancestors brought to germany after having to emigrate from France long ago (right after the "edict of Nantes" was nullified).
A merry christmas to everyone!
And if you hate Santa, try this: www.coolmen.ch/advent/weitflug

Imperfect integration between PNphpBB2 (the forum) and Postnuke (the Content Management System that runs the site as a whole) is the answer. For those of you that didn't know, phpBB2 is the forum package that we started out with when TMC started this year. PNphpBB2 is the port of this package into Postnuke, the overall framework for the site. Both have "user account" functions, and as I say the integration is not perfect as the "fit" between the two sets of capabilities is not perfect.

If you create a signature in Postnuke (under "My Account") it's of no use whatsoever as things stand. Any profile information you want to appear in forum postings should be entered under "Profile" at the top of the forum pages.

There are various hacks and alternative user modules for Postnuke that improve the integration between the forum and the CMS, and it's on my to-do list to evaluate these and install one when I reckon the match to our requirements is good enough and when I think that the software in question is stable enough.

Hope this helps

Phil
