Early morning.....

Postby moccafaux » Sun Sep 04, 2005 3:33 pm

.....two days ago.
It was one of those days. Definitely not enough sleep and bad sleep at that. Get out of bed and switch on the Gaggia, "fast mode" this time.
Make the first coffee, sit at the table and sip it.
Five minutes later I feel sort of an silent explosion behind my eyes. The caffeine hits the brain and kickstarts it. The senses awaken and I feel a definite improvement in the ability to see and
hear and move the odd limp .
WOW!!!
Am I addicted?
Do you know what I mean?
Have you ever been experienced?

You managed to drink it after waking. I have to have it injected before getting out of bed.

I kind of know what you mean, there's loads of studies of caffeine addiction, I'm currently reading a book about it (very early days), I'll let you know if I work it out.

Can you summarize the content, because we are all very interested in the content, but off course too lazy to read the complete book...............

Im in the mid-30's and they call that in the Netherlands the "chips"-generation or generation nothing......

Well really! There's no need for that! Wer zum Teufel ist Jimi? :P

Well, I don't really want to re-open the debate about exactly what he was on about in that song anyway, but I'd feel fairly safe saying I don't think it was coffee.

Given the effect you describe, though, maybe you have a point.

Steve, if making a living selling coffee and coffee equipment doesn't make you a coffee geek I don't know what does ;-)

Nah, that's not what makes him a coffee geek, it's the hanging around TMC after he has finished work (if that ever happens!) that really does it

I believe so - I will send you a PM as my explanation is a little off-topic.
