biscotti !

Postby mnemonix » Mon Nov 24, 2003 9:26 pm

so what, if anything, are folks eating with their coffee ?

i'm quite partial to Cantuccini organic biscotti, 100% wholewheat and almonds (available in Sainsburys for the UK members).

Must give that a try

If you get the chance, Sunnyfield's girlfriend makes killer biscotti. Sunnyfield, Hugh, Eeffoc and I can all testify to that - she sent a load for us to eat at the small get-together we had the other week up at Eeffoc's place.

Unfortunately I've never had Biscotti, but for what it's worth: Somethimes (once every 3 weeks) I get up very early (about half past five in the morning) and make Brioches... I love it, my wife loves them (she eats several) and the kids especially like the knobs on top...

My wife used to make biscotti when we lived in Seattle...and biscotti was widely available at almost every bakery and coffeeshop we went to. However, the Portuguese don't know what it is, and we don't even own an oven!

I would love to get some for my wife for Christmas! Anybody know where I can order it from online? Oh, that would be absolutely perfect! :)

Is this any use?

Italian Secrets

I haven't been able to find out if they ship to the rest of Europe. Oh, and the other bad news is their minimum order is GBP35 (Euro 50 approx).

I was drooling over their stuff though.

Phil, you think it's possible to create a module for recipes? I ate a great dessert with apples and coffee yesterday, I would like to add it to the site. It's better not to have recipes go to waste in the forum, right?

I'll look into it. The idea rings a bell re something I've read about for Postnuke. Failing that, I can treat recipes as a top-level content category, which might be easier anyway from a menu organisation standpoint.
