When you click on a members name, you get a list of interests etc.
Why not have a list of their coffe kit here? I know its on most folks posts, but their homepage seems the best place?
Doesn't it?
Cheers

In principle something I'm interested in. What exactly would you like to see?

What you have below your message...
Gaggia TD 2 group commercial
La Spaziale Lusso grinder (espresso)
Fracino Deli shop grinder (brewed coffee)
Hottop since Feb 2003
Cona, Santos ...
and loads of press pots and one cup filters ....
It seems sensible to have it on your home page rather than search out a post to see what a member has!
Aren't we all curious at what each other owns and coverts!

Maybe even a space to put what you might buy if you could, and what you have had and wouldn't go near again!
I find it interesting looking at each other's set ups, and the homepage is one click away.
Just a thought...

OK but there are two "member lists".

The forum package we use is PnphpBB and the integration with Postnuke (the portal which is the site itself) is not perfect in terms of non-critical user data.

I can mess with the user profile data in Postnuke as I can dynamically define profile items (like the new "I want TMC email please" thing). In the forum, I don't have that capability. The reason I haven't done any of this before is that I think most people use the forum facilities to the almost total exclusion of the Postnuke ones - which is also why there is currently no link to the Postnuke memberlist capability.

I think that the PNphpBB team is working towards improving the integration of the forum with the portal. The approach I've taken so far is to watch the development so that when they have something that will do this job well I can grab it and use it.

Sorry - is this clear or am I just rambling?

It's like the sign in the zoo : "Careful, these animals may bite".

And like the zoo, people think the sign is synonymous with "put your hands in the cage as far as you can reach"... :D
