Loosing unread threads

Postby josh_robb » Thu Feb 03, 2005 12:23 pm

Recently I have noticed that if I login and start catching up on reading threads. Then leave my pc for a couple of hours (or even a day). When I come back it has forgotten which threads I have read and all are marked as read.

This did not used to happen to me.

Any ideas anyone?

No its not new. Basically, as far as I can see, the forum software assumes that all threads are read if a session is terminated. I totally agree it's not ideal, but that's how it is. Sorry.

Please remember that I don't write the software that we use, and whilst I can often fix any really bad bugs I try not to mess with the code too much as that just gives me long term maintenance issues.

Sorry Phil! I really didn't mean to imply this was something you needed to fix. I'm _really_ greatful for the time you have spent building this fantastic community!
