Nice list, a good spot Chris. I was interested to see that Combibos in Oxford made their top 50. Has anyone tried the place?

Good to see Gwilym's new place on the latter list. It was conspicuously missing from that in the Independent.

Did anyone else think the "avoided the extreme bitterness of much espresso" comment in the Monmouth write-up of Time Out suggests the author may not be a regular in decent coffee shops if she is used to bitter in his shots?

Gwilym is on the Independent list @ #9

Gwilym's Carts

Not quite a coffee shop, but a place to get some truly world-class coffee nonetheless. 'Gwilym Davies, a slightly eccentric character, runs two coffee carts in east London and serves fantastic espresso coffee at incredibly reasonable prices,' explains John.

Where 7B Ezra Street, near Columbia Road Flower Market, London E2 7RH (Sundays 8am till 2pm only)

G's 'new place' is Prufrock, Shoreditch High Street... not on the Indy list.

These lists are never perfect - there are always some there on reputation rather than actual experience and stuff like doing 'opposite' twice and Gwilym only once there are always a few to miss out but its nice to see that the independent list at least used reputable experts.
