Best Coffee in Brighton?

Postby CoffeeMachine » Thu Dec 03, 2009 4:13 pm

So, I'm a Brighton resident and am interested in hearing where people think is the best coffee shop in town.

My vote goes to Red Roaster on St James's street, anyone else?

Another vote for Taylor St. Ferg, Veronica and Selina are always on top form, always a great cup. Andrew's got a great crew there :)

I've had beans from red roaster when I forget to order from Hasbean and they're always good.

I hear there's another shop, Ground, somewhere else in Kemptown, but not tried it.

There's also a stall outside Brighton station in the mornings, '9 bar' but I've not tried it.

I will be visiting Brighton at the end of the month, so any additional tips for coffee places would be most welcome, anyone down there using Hasbean or SQM?

Thanks

Coffee @33 use monmouth, and do a good job with it, I believe there's any cafes (yet) using HB or SQM, correct me if I'm wrong :?

Have a nice time in Brighton.

Just thought I'd mention there's a coffee enthusiast meet-up in Brighton this Saturday 9th July from 11 am (well, it's Hove actually but only just).

You can read more about in the Clubroom section.

Andrew of Taylor Street Baristas will be there, along with Reiss from Londinium Espresso, plus a range of coffees and tons of equipment to play with.

Lunch will be happening at some point and maybe a visit to some local coffee haunts if we're not already vastly overcaffeinated.

Anyone who wants to is welcome to join in the fun.

PM me for more info.

Cheers

Mike
