I am visiting parents oop north and need a recommendation for a good coffee shop in central Manchester.
Any suggestions?

If I was in Manchester I'd pop in here :
http://grindsmith.com . Check the coffee section on the site, they are serving Square Mile using syphon brewing. The other thing I'd do is make th journey over to Liverpool and visit here when they open :

Oop north Rhode Island Coffee is worth a visit
http://www.rhodeislandcoffee.co.uk/shops.html but sadly not central Manchester. In fact quite a bit away from central. In fact not in Manchester at all. And sadly Luke Lamb has left the Bolton emporium for pastures new in Bournemouth.
