Where to go in Glasgow?

Is it actually possible to find a good shot?

Glasgow was my first stop in Europe when I moved from the States in September 1965. I nearly froze to death, nearly drowned in the rain and nearly died of the coffee. I'm sure things have improved in the last 50 years <silly grin>.
Thanks for the tips. After the above experience I haven't really been tempted very often to return, but you may have changed that. :D
Three Francesconi (CMA) espresso machines - Rossi, San Marco, LaCimbali, Faema and 2 Mazzer Major grinders- CoffeeTech Maggionlino, Hottop, Alpenröst and HW Precision roasters.
I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!

Seems like this post needs a wee bit updating!

The west end of the city is your best should for getting a really great hand crafted speciality coffee.
Your best bets are:
Artisan Roast - https://www.facebook.com/artisanroastglasgow
Papercup - https://www.facebook.com/pccoffeeuk?fref=ts
Avenue G - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Avenue-C ... 08?fref=ts
Pena - https://www.facebook.com/penaglasgow?fref=ts

If you find yourself in the City Centre:
Lab Espresso is defenitly your best shout - https://www.facebook.com/LaboratorioEspresso?fref=ts

They may not be the most comfortable of settings but you're sure to find a great example of the coffee that you're looking for - all offer espresso and filter based drinks.
A few of these places even roast their own coffee if youre into knowing about your sourcing and fresheness!

But dont just take my word for it - heres a wee review from the List Magazine
