Is it actually possible to find a good shot?

Browns of Brockley

Postby BillyT » Sat Oct 17, 2009 7:27 pm

When I first came to England, one of the first things an Englishman ever told me was:

"People will tell you to visit a lot of places in the UK, but no one will ever tell you to go to Reading"

Until recently, no one had ever told me to go to Brockley either, but then fellow TMCer Ross Brown, just opened Browns of Brockley.

Not like Ross at all to put his own name on the front of the shop.

Literally opposite the rail station, Square Mile, Marzocco and a pimped Anfim.

Really nice to see how shots of the same coffee taste different with different set-up. Had a brilliant shot there today, and rumor has it, Neil-number-one (of UBF fame) belts out some great coffee mid-week.

Coulgate St, London, SE4‎

Oh... it's also a deli if you're hungry

Hey Bill, don't be a stranger!
We'll have to add this to the map as I'm sure it's worth a visit... Will maybe try and check it out in 2 weeks time.
This week I are feeling sleepy!

Decent coffee in South London. This really is news, definitely worth a short bike ride.

Hello to all at TMC
Got some SQM beans from here yesterday, and can confirm Ross does a top espresso.

I would say that this has improved my borough of Lewisham by 97%. Ross also informed me of the espresso showroom opening nearby (by our shared supplier of machine and grinder parts).
Suddenly I don't mind living in SE London so much.
