Is it actually possible to find a good shot?

Careful wandering about ATL - it goes from nice to less so very quickly.

Octane is the bestest place - it will be chock full of barista types the whole week too, and the beer is good there also.

Slightly off topic (beer, not coffee), but Manuel's Tavern is a good place for beer and (reasonably priced) food. Plenty of space for big groups and nice staff. I usually visit them when I'm in Atlanta. The 602 house beer is good.

Manuel's Tavern, 602 N Highland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
Open Mon-Sat 11am-2am; Sun 11am-12am

Gordon Biersch in midtown is also fairly dependable and brew their own.

Lastly, don't forget the Atlanta metro (MARTA). $2.25 flat rate and trains run from the airport into downtown. 7 day pass is $13 + $5 breeze card.

Hello, Don't really post much I just tend to lurk and laugh at some of the thing that you guys have to say. Coffee and comedy-a perfect partnership, anyhows Atlanta. I too shall be attending and the last few weeks I have met a few people mostly thanks to the UKBC who are also going so at least I will see a few friendly faces at the parties this year and not feel like a twerp stood on my own in the corner!

Just an idea if we had an idea of numbers how about a TMC WBC meet up? It would be nice to meet some more of the guys in internet land in person. Maybe beers or lunch even. At the very least we could met at the WBC bar for a coffee.

What do you all think? Yes? No? Maybe?

i'll be in atlanta too.

I'm still looking for a place to stay though! Does anyone have any recommendations? My budget is a little less than small. But will work for accomm... can do the latte art/espresso/roasting for a couch. Can also cook, and willing. Wash dishes etc., I'll pretty much do anything that doesn't compromise my driver's dignity.

My usual course of action would be 1.Find the cheapest youth hostel 2.Offer to work in exchange of sleeping place, but it doesn't seem like these Georgians have many youth hostels/cheap hotels. My current plan is some corporate condo at $550/week.

Um... help?

I will be staying at the Omi.
Schedule is getting pretty full, but could be an idea you meet up at one of the big parties?
Thoughts?
