Hey Jason, thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like an absolutely amazing space, and huge too! Good luck with it!
This week I are feeling sleepy!

I've heard great things of Market Lane, a relative newbie in the frantic Melbourne scene, alongwith Seven Seeds (Mark Dundon's latest venture) ,Cup of Truth, Dead Man Espresso and Flying Goat. However, with the exception of Seven Seeds, I am only repeating the complements of a friend, namely Emanuele Muratore, owner of Ristretto Espresso in Perth, WA (perth's finest by far).

Nevertheless, I spent 5 months in Melb during early '09; the best coffee and dedicated focus was at;

St Ali, Auction Rooms, East Brunswick Project, Mailing Rooms, BBB.

Rays and St Ali were formerly owned by Mark Dundon, but have now changed hands. St Ali is still great though, a hidden gem.

Not sure about A Minor Place, better to walk the 150m or so to East Brunswick Project, who roast their own and are very focused on delivering a great cup.

Hope that helps!...check out coffeesnobs.com.au for more info

Yep there are lots of great places opening here.

Dead Man Espresso (south melbourne) is one of my favourites - some great food and lovely people!

Proud Mary's in Collingwood is another new shop, opened by Nolam after he sold Liar Liar to Sal Malatesta. The home of the famous 6-group Synesso! I haven't been yet, but EVERYONE has been there!

Mark Dundon is still doing great things - at Seven Seeds and BBB.
