Great Coffee in Cardiff

Postby Phil_Gevo » Wed Jan 14, 2009 10:57 am

Hello everyone this is my first post

The last thing I expect when I walk into a greasy spoon cafe is great coffee, heart disease maybe, but great coffee no.

Upstairs in the central market in Cardiff is a market stall that sells the usual greasy spoon fair so when I asked for coffee I was a litte/ lot suprised to be given the option of 3 single estate coffes. While I decided on a the El Salvidor I watched the barista pour some nice latte art too.

Might be a good place to visit for any one going the UKBC heat later in the month.

p.s. the fry up was pretty good too.

That's great news, Phil! I may never get to Cardiff, but it's heartening to hear of a good cup to be had anywhere.

Welcome to TMC, where the coffee never gets cold.
Three Francesconi (CMA) espresso machines - Rossi, San Marco, LaCimbali, Faema and 2 Mazzer Major grinders- CoffeeTech Maggionlino, Hottop, Alpenröst and HW Precision roasters.
I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!
