Well, I spent a couple of great days in Essex and about half a day in London. The new SCAE headquarters are a nice place with very nice people. The only thing that irked me some, was that I had no cell phone with me (and thus no internet access either).

In London we had not much time left, thus we only visited Flat-White, Monmouth, and SquareMiles. Flat-White and Monmouth were pretty crowded, the Flat-White I had there was quite good.

Anette and James gave us a warm welcome and the coffees James made in his French-Presses - while we were chatting about all things coffee - were by far the best I had in England last week.

Many thanks Anette & James for hosting us, it was a real pleasure to visit you. Also, it was very nice to meet you, Gwilym...

This week I are mostly playing with my new water kettle... :)

I'll be in London next week!
Making the Brewmaster @ SCAE and then spending Friday to Sunday in London, visiting all the good places you all mentioned here.

@James: is Square Miles open during the day or do I need an audience :D

@all: I am stil looking for a b&b in the soho area..... all hotels are sold out. Any hints?

Will Gwilym be working at his cart again or travel the coffee world now?

Anybody wants to join me for coffee?

Cheers
Joey

Don't worry Joey, we haven't had one for ages, but a Saturday trip to all the amazing Soho cafes would be fun!

.. so join me! Anybody else?

I'll drive back from Chelmsford on Friday morning, return the car at Gatwick and head to London/Soho.

So I'll have time to roam the area in the afternoon and the whole Saturday.

How big is Soho... is it all in walking distance?

I'd like to visit Fernandez & Wells, Flat White, Milkbar, Monmouth, Gwilyms cart and if possible Square Miles

Anything else I should see?

:D

Just been to london for a few days doing the rounds, sacred was extremely disappointing, the milk texture was poor, same with the farm collective. dose was fantastic tho, real gem of a place and a lovely barista.

Its just sad coming back to shrewsbury after visiting so many great cafes in london *sigh*
