i don't think anyone means to be unfriendly dude, but as someone who fucking hates having their photo taken it would really, really irritate me. they're job is to try and make you nice coffee not to model the brand. i know you probably mean well but i know jason speaks from first hand experience. in fact if you google 'bellaphon jason scheltus' you'll find out how horrible and shitty can be over their photographs.

Well, I think if Joey asked 3 different staff members if she could take a picture, and presumably they said yes - she has a right to feel aggrieved. People need to chill the f**k out. :)

Joey :
As you had politely asked about taking photos and that had been accepted, I can't blame you for leaving.

Please hang in here! This was definitely a worthwhile post.

Cheers,

ye, cant blame you for walking out. id have done the same in that situation.

I can understand why they wouldnt want photos being taken, but to say yes when ask politely, and then no when you do is unacceptable.

Ah... as I know there are a few jazz heads around here, this reminds me of a classic Keith Jarrett "moment" at the Umbria Jazz festival in 07 (be warned, involves bad language, so might not be suitable for watching in certain work environments).

Do I really look like a "dude" on my picture? (Maybe the pirate costume is to masculine....I'll work on that)

Anyway - I forgot to mention that I didn't wanna take a picture of the persons, rather of the area in the direction of the bar "without flesh", so they would maybe have been blurred in the background anyway - but I wanna let go.
There are more important things to think/talk about.

I accept the fact that the people don't want to be anywere IN the picture. :) (Although none of them had a reason to be embarrassed about themselves  )

BTW, should we make a note on the front page of this forum and warn all newcomers or infrequent visitors to "never-offend-regulars-and-talk-about-cappuccini-sizes-before-having-read-the-247 859 732-other-threads"???

My partner and I had double espressos at the Monmouth at Borough Market a few weeks ago and they were served in latte cups which I thought was bit weird, by the time we'd tipped the cup to our lips most of the crema was left clinging to the sides of the cup.

my double shot was served in a 6oz cappa cup in that same monmouth, went cold really fast.

Sorry, must've been the same 6oz cappuccino cup for us as well, not latte cup.

no problem at all, I changed it due to the fact that most "new" users don't know me anymore
I am an oldie here who had gone for a long time - but as a fellow Austrian Actor once said:" I'll be back!"

(I was just working too much. But in the coffee business. So it's a good thing)

Tagging this on to the end of this thread.

Following a seriously over caffeinated trip around town. I now have a new fave.
Best shot by far of the day, came from Dose (ignoring James' skills on Gwilym's machine!). Great shot (and even free beer) from a well maintained machine, in a nice location that's easy to get to. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, and this odd hanger on, who looked like he should have been working, but spent all his time chatting to the customers

A few of the other places seemed to be a bit off their game... so close to getting it right, but just not quite there (machine probs possibly? we weren't sure and were trying to be discrete... well except for the idiot who tweeted all day :P). So I definitely think a few places deserve at least a second visit some time soon. Goes to show that consistency is still a bit of an issue. I wonder whether its better to visit mid week too?

Dose definitely gets a thumbs up though!
