Is it actually possible to find a good shot?

I like the idea that Imperial Teas could supply me with the "rarest coffee on the planet"!

No prizes but would anybody like to guess what it is? In the year 2000 catalogue it was £55.00 for 4 ounces!! (Blue Mountain was £7.50 for 4 ounces)

Answer next week in the case of nobody getting it.

Ed

(I didn't try it by the way!!)

Spot on Neo! According to this catalogue anyway - which Chris seems keen to discredit!!

Chris - I was young and innocent in those days. Haven't been to Lincoln for eight or nine years! Will be sure to look you up if I go again.

well we've been there for only 2 and a half years, so it wouldn't have worked out!!

I am keener to say that Imperial Tea's do fantastic tea's, they are the nicest guys, and will bend over backwards to help people. And if you catch one of their roasts fresh, they can be quite pleasant. However more often than not, the consumers aren't buying, and the beans are going stale, their bean storage needs work, as keeping them in non-airtight jars, surrounded be tea is a bad idea!!

And Kopi Luwak is animal shit, and there's a limit to how much I'll pay ;)

I certainly can't afford £13.75 an ounce (at 2000 prices) to find out.

According to my friends, it has very intensive and strong taste profile. It doesnt taste so good in espresso as it's boring but would be better when blended with other beans.
Eat one bean tastes like drink a whole cup of dripped coffee, that means it's strong.
It has some animal oil smell during the roast and it smells like lamb.
I will edit this post if I remember something more :P
