At my last visit to Amsterdam (early November 07) I made an amazing discovery!

I visited the Amsterdam Boulevard (next to the Ajax Arena) I was oddly welcomed by the smell of freshly roasted coffee. I convinced my girlfriend to follow my nose and to my surprise Brandmeesters has opened a huge store there on the first floor with lots of equipment and a good bean selection. I introduced myself to the store owner/manager, and had a nice chat about the coffee scene in the Netherlands and Hong Kong with her. These guys, along with Ivo (Ongebrand.nl) and some others, are leading the way for good espresso in Holland. If you have a chance, go visit their shop, it is espresso heaven!
