the coffee at the tyneside cinema cafe - http://www.tynecine.org/ - was often decent when they were in newcastle centre. Decent coffee milkshakes/cocktails too iirc, if you like that type of thing

Now in Gateshead while refurbishing cinema

Haven't been, but maybe worth a visit if you're down that way.
