Bev-e awards 2005

Postby ianboughton » Fri Jan 28, 2005 3:45 pm

The Beverage Service Association is repeating its 'best beverage experience' awards this year, under the rather more entertaining name of the Bev-es. (English joke - a 'bevvy' is a boozing session).

Last year's awards really did produce a collection of venues serving super drinks. This award runs right across the board, from coffee to tea to even chocolate drinks, but it is expected that any decent place entering will be able to produce a decent espresso shot... or, failing that, an absolutely faultless cafetiere or filter menu. Last year's winner, Coffee House of Skipton, Yorkshire, had one of the longest coffee menus I've ever seen.

The nomination form can be found on the Coffee House magazine website. It's a PDF, which the BSA has produced in hi-res, so it does take a few seconds to load.

it's at: www.coffee-house.org.uk, click the link in the left-hand column.
