It's bean a while - blend posting

Postby simonp » Tue Nov 30, 2004 12:56 am

Sorry, couldn't resist the gag in the subject :) .

I haven't posted any blend stuff for ages (been lazy roasting pre-blends), so I thought I'd put up my latest.

Roast 1: 105g Brazil Cachoeira, 45g Harrar (both Hasbean)
Roast 2: 105g Yuaco Selcecto (Sweet Marias), 45g Guatamalan (Hasbean)

The Yuaco Selecto came out quite light, about City+, and the Guat was quite dark, so not such a good roasting mix.

This is another Jim Schukman inspired blend.

The taste is nice (a little too much scidity from the light Yuaco in a ristretto), very smooth and sweet. The Yuaco Selecto certainly adds something nice.

I have just roasted some more Cach, some La Manuela Columbian, some Guat Antiga from SM, and some Aged Lintong, also from Sweet Marias. I'll be trying some blends when that lot has rested :)
