This may be a stupid question but I will ask it anyway. I was given a kilo of beans today that are intended for a cafe (No fancy name brand, just a bag of beans) They are very oily/silky to the touch and was wondering if such a bean would cause a lot of crap/damage to build up in the grinder (superjolly) due to the oils on the bean?

Your safe, the grinder will be fine. I put a load of shiny coffee through a rubur to season/break in the burrs.
Some residue will stick, it maybe crap. Sort of depends on your opinion of the beans.

Whether the oil is in the beans or on the surface is pretty much the same to the grinder.
Three Francesconi (CMA) espresso machines - Rossi, San Marco, LaCimbali, Faema and 2 Mazzer Major grinders- CoffeeTech Maggionlino, Hottop, Alpenröst and HW Precision roasters. I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!
