food grade lube

hello...
just need a little...
whats the best value stuff and who sells it?
online might be simpler...
will need it to be temperature resistant to about espresso temp...
its for the o-ring on my bacchi machine- this it doesnt come into contact with the drinking water...

For me, Dow Plumba Grease
50 ml for £3-4 from any decent plumbing suppliers.

Engineering supply shops that sell bearings will also have food grade grease in stock. Catering repair services will have it too.

I use lip salve myself. I can't remember when I last had a chapped o ring.

Most lip salve's are petroleum based.
I imagine his could cause ones O-ring to degrade if it was made of rubber.

Yup, we occasionally used vaseline
on parts that did not contact the coffee in the old superauto (may it rest in peace), specifically the plastic 'runners'. Fortunately no rubber nearby, so it worked fine.

And I was always led to believe that Vas was unsuitable for internal use.
