We're in proper BZH, with real weather, not that mild stuff you get way down south in the 56, with all your diddy little islands! Up here, the waves and rain meet in the middle (thus the name of "finis terrae") and the wind seems to blow against you, whichever way you walk (currently gusting a mild force 7-8... lovely for the time of year). A friendly bunch too, as the local motto is "s'ils te mordent, mords les", and you can't beat a good artichoke!

No, I shan't be in Libellule unfortunately - something a bit more prosaic: Ford Focus diesel with a trailer! I took her over a couple of years ago.
I've actually seen more DS's over here than in their home country.
Islands?!? Not round our bit. Well, except the old mayor's house that is. There has been the odd flood or two round here and there's a map that shows all the areas prone to flooding marked in blue. The old mayor's house is right next to the canal and river, but funnily his house isn't in a blue bit on the map, so it won't flood, even though it's the lowest point for kilometres!
Still haven't found a good source for beans over there, biodynamic or otherwise, so I shall have to get Steve to send me some. Ooh, I shall have to take Rocky then...

Posted: Tue Dec 08, 2009 3:48 pmOh its not that exciting but they now always clear a space in the kitchen for when we arrive. I think that because of her size Anna is unlikely to make the same journey, not unless we choose to leave one of the boys at home instead..
