I often think we are an odd lot, discussing all sorts at length but rarely beans. Now, I know we are all sat at home enjoying a diverse range of coffees, each of us having those occasional moments of bliss as something really hits the spot.

Anyway, is anyone else totally loving Los Amates? I'm a huge fan of El Salvadorian coffees, so it's of little surprise that this one does it for me. I love big bodied coffees with lots of sweetness, chocolate, caramel, blackcurrent, spice, decent mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste. This one has them all and is by a mile my favourite coffee so far this year. In fact, it would take something massive to displace it!

It's actually interesting how many people who routinely have a coffee here, and who may have become a little blasé generally about the quality of beans on offer, have commented enthusiastically about this one.

Hopefully many have tried it, but if you haven't, it's one I would thoroughly recommend :D

I have been so busy trying to consume the entire worlds supply of Machacamarca that I have missed this one. :(

Thanks for the recommendation, I must give it a try.
