Thanks

"Mokha" (correct spelling) or Al-Mahka is a port in Yemen from which coffees are exported. "Mokhas" may originate in Yemen or Ethiopia.

Classic "Mokha Java" is considered the oldest known coffee blend and contains either Yemeni or Ethiopian beans combined with Sumatra (Indonesian) beans (not Java).

A rose by any other name would ummmmm....so what's in a name anyway?

This is the way I learned it, so it might be right. :?
Three Francesconi (CMA) espresso machines - Rossi, San Marco, LaCimbali, Faema and 2 Mazzer Major grinders- CoffeeTech Maggionlino, Hottop, Alpenröst and HW Precision roasters.
I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!

This is an old classic blend.
Mocha - Yemmen or Ethiopian (usually unwahsed coffee)
This part of the blend has the aim to provide chocolate flavours
Java - Indo coffee with the aim to provide a heavy body and a spicy finish.

This has always been very popular during the winter months throughout the world: Chocolate and Spice.

Thanks for all informations. Could I also combine a Mokha Java with a Yemeni Mokha Haimi or Sharasi (both are on their long way to me but not only for the Mokha Java) with a Java Jampit?

Accordingly to the folks at Sweet Marias a Mokha Java will be blended from a Javanese and a Yemeni bean:

What's in a name?
Mokha is either Ethiopia or Yemen and Java = Java.
I would guess that when this combination became popular a Ehtiopian Harrar Longberry or a Yemen plus a Washed Java Arabica from the, then Dutch plantations in East Java, now the PTPN Plantations like Blawan, Jampit etc.
