Ethiopian Sidamo

Postby espressomattic » Thu Nov 13, 2008 10:39 pm

Roasted the Sidamo today:

Greens are quite small and chaffy.

1st crack at 17.3 mins at 230 deg.
Finished at 19.7 before 2nd crack

Grounds - Sweet Cherry like

Cup - Aroma has a hint of almond and cherry

Very low acidity in the cup and surprisingly full bodied
Almonds really came through, fruityness and a rich buscuit type taste going on.
Very clean coffee, very very sweet coffee. Not your usual Ethiopian Citrus coffee.
