Some of you may have noticed already that Steve has launched a new website over the past few days.

Coffee101.co.uk offers coffee 'lessons' via email over a ten day basis. Content includes how coffee is grown, where it comes from, how to roast it, brew it and so on.

I wish it had been around when I was new to coffee. It should be invaluable to anyone starting out, and it's a really interesting read with a few new tidbits for old hands too.

It's totally free and as always Steve gives everything of himself. Well worth dropping by for a look-see :P

Don't forget the special offers, Cakey :D

It is an absolutely blinding course. I found it intriguing - and there's one heck of a lot of information there for ten days.

I'd heartily recommend following Steve's suggestion and setting up a separate folder for t'emails. There's a tonne of detail in there that I'm going to enjoy re-visiting.

Just finished reading part 3, interesting and well written.

Now what to order with the discount code, we've tried the Premium Espresso Blend, Four Bean Blend (my favourite so far), Monsooned Malabar, Honduras La Fortunate and am currently on the Ethiopian Yirgacheffee (v. tasty). We mostly make short cappuccinos and macchiato/cortardo type coffees. Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Matt

How about going for something that you wouldn't normally order? It might surprise you :D I'm just remembering reading up about the Ethiopian Harrar and deciding against it... but it came in replacement of another Ethiopian SO I had ordered... and whaddya know? Harrar is my all-time fave :D

*signs up for lessons tonight*
