An interesting notion which is startlingly simple but equally excellent is a new 350g weight.
Never thought about before but it makes sense. I wonder if the weight and packaging parameters have influenced it.

Hmm my daily consumption (?) is 3 dbles at 15g, so 350g would last me 8 days. I suppose if you buy more than one bag, then freezing is an option.

The site is quite nicely laid out. The target market is obviously global, but not having a link to shipping costs, prior to filling in c/c details, may put some folk off.

Barry, you might want to avoid the SF Tecumaburro, it has hints of tobacco, if you get my drift ........

Anyone know what the shipping for 350g pack within UK is? Not quite ready to order today or would have gone on to next stage.

Would be handy to know and within reason wouldn't put me off trying them. Particularly fancy the Rwandan for the Chemex.

£1.94 shipping on 350g, £3.08 on 2 x 350g

There will be a page up tomorrow hopefully with all the shipping costs on it, the shop we are using is great but the doesn't seem to have an easy solution for working out costs until you log in and it knows where in the world you are.

I hope people like the 350g. It isn't really new - lots of places in the US and Canada sell 12oz (341g) and we just really liked the bag size when we were buying coffee for ourselves

I see there's a couple of single origins there. Will you be offering them in green or are you going to wait till everything is up and running, as smoothly as an espressomattic on a skateboard?

We aren't looking to supply green coffee in the immediate future. We feel that this is something of a specialised business and we aren't really set up to give support to greens buying customers the way that companies like HasBean are. We are all for home roasting, and it isn't a case of us thinking that only we can roast - it just isn't our core business and we don't feel we could do it as well as we'd want to.

If anyone has bought some coffee we'd love to get your feedback

I'm very much enjoying the 350g, I agree with you that 250 isn't really enough to get to know a coffee, unless you buy it over and over again. Normally with a new coffee I'm just hitting my stride at the bottom of the bag

Feck missed the delivery - gonna have to pick them up in the morning.

Thursday roast - delivered to Ireland by the following tuesday - not bad. Might be more sense to order earlier in the week to avoid sitting in post offices over the weekend.

I've just finished my 1st bag of the WBC blend. I enjoyed it more and more as I got towards the end of the bag. Luckily I have another bag waiting to be consumed. If this is a sign of things to come from SM - I'm very excited.
The Muchoki is very good as well - haven't experimented too much with it, except for one effort on a vac pot. Wasn't as bright as I was expecting, but fuller, with more deep fruity notes.

Kudos to all involved. Looking forward to the next espresso blend.
