Aren't we discussing pricing from a couple of years ago?
Currently the market is much better for the producers and they are certainly making good money.
Most of the coffee exported in Ethiopia is going through the government auction. Even if you pay a good premium to the lots in auction, this good price is not necessarily reaching the grower.
It stays in the local Ethiopian chain. Do we need to blame someone for that?
Maybe, maybe not, but it is too easy to blame foreign trade/roasters.
