coffee harvest season

Hey, anybody knows when it is coffee harvesting season? And what is a typical harvesting-to-retailer leadtime for new crop (i.e. green beans)?

Thanks Walter! That whole site is very useful.

BTW, can someone explain what "fly crop" means? I've tried to find some reference, but wasn't successful. Thanks.

I decided I needed a bit of a change so I roasted some Monsooned Malabar. That was a change!

Fly crop is not the main crop.
Depending on countries some coffee trees in some region produce 2 crops per year.
A main crop and an intermediary crop, or a fly crop.
The fly crop is considerably smaller than the main crop.

Normally large country's that have different harvesting times. Colombia is the most obvious one that springs to mind that has a large fly. Others it can be explained as being slow picking their harvest :)
