OK is it rubbing it in here?

Thanks to Steve for letting us cup this eamazing coffee.

So what did I find in the cup? Well I found nothing that actually resembled coffee. In fact possibly the most un coffee tasting coffee ever. The first thing that hit me (Apart from Dom) was the intense floral notes followed by a huge amount of Jasmine. In fact I would say that Jasmine Tea is the for me the best descriptor of this coffee. Wonderful and light in body.

It is the sort of coffee you could happily drink all day, but then too much would spoil it really.

A rare and special gem. Thanks Steve :D

Heh, you didn't get to break the crust on it! There I was, expecting Steve's usual Asda trick and he hits me with that instead! Still, my fault for starting at the wrong end of the table :D
Very very floral. I'm not gonna compare with tea, cos I hate the stuff! :P To be honest, it really doesn't fit most common descriptors as they weren't chosen with a coffee like this in mind.
Personally, I wouldn't want to drink it all the time, partly for fear of losing just how special it is: "If all the year were playing holidays, To sport would be as tedious as to work; But when they seldom come, they wish'd-for come, And nothing pleaseth but rare accidents." Esme is just that, a rarity, and I kinda like it that way. Even if I never have another cup, I'll know that the time I did was exceptional, and in excellent company :D Thanks Steve!

Don't have a lot of time at the moment, but thought I'd share a couple of pictures from the weekend.

The Esme was truely amazing. A mouth full of flowers in a lovely way. Many thanks to Steve for his generosity and the energy of his enthusiasm. What a top man. We are living in a special time for enthusiast coffee and Steve is at the core. Enjoy people, these are seminal days for us all :D

I had the Esmeralda at my local coffeebar a month or so ago, made on a clover. It was fantastic! I second Doms rant about that vacation all year-thingy, albeit I'm no sports-fanatic. :P
